Overall, Red tends to eat pretty well and isn't too picky about what we give him, but there are times when I give him something he has enjoyed in the past, and he won't take a bite. He pushes it away or tries to throw his spoon. This morning at breakfast was one of those times. I'm not sure what goes on in his fickle toddler brain, but I've found that giving him a novel eating utensil often helps him past his initial rejection.
Here he is this morning eating with a small spatula instead of his spoon.
In the past he has also eaten with a toy wrench, a toy screwdriver, and a toy sheriff's badge.
