Sensory Balloons.

We made some sensory balloons this week. Since Red doesn’t care to get his hands messy, this is a good way for him to explore some different textures. There are a lot of things you could use as filler, but we chose sugar, flour, flour/water mix, water, corn kernels, and bird seed.

He was a little weirded out by the water balloon at first, but he quickly got over that. He loved squeezing them all!

  1. We made some ballons like this last weekend. We used flour, salt, rice and oatmeal. I didn't like how the oatmeal one turned out. My toddler 18.5 mo old helped me make them. She loved spooning the ingredients into the "punnel" (funnel) and making a mess with the leftovers. Thanks for the idea!

  2. I'm glad your little one enjoyed it. I wasn't brave enough to let mine help make them, but it sounds like it was a fun learning experience!
