It’s been so warm here we have broken out the shorts and popsicles! I saw this post about smoothie pops at No Time for Flash Cards (where else?) and decided to make some for Red. They fit in well with our green theme for St. Patrick’s Day too!
Here is Allie’s recipe for smoothie pops (or just smoothies):
1/4 cup frozen spinich
1/3 cup milk
4 oz. yogurt (vanilla, banana, strawberry, etc.)
1 large ripe banana
I blended it all, poured it into our popsicle molds and let it freeze overnight.
Pop and serve.
Red loved them. It turned into a full-out sensory experience too when he got cold popsicle all over his face, mouth and hands…not to mention the all important sense of taste! Quite the messy play experience.
