We’ve had storms over the past few days, so our flowering bushes and trees lost a lot of their blooms. As we were playing outside today, we gathered some of the flowers in a bucket.
After Red’s nap, I taped a piece of contact paper onto the floor—sticky side up. I saw the idea for this in this post on Peaceful Parenting. He had fun feeling the stickiness on his hands and feet.
Then we started sticking the flowers to it.
He made sure to give them a good whack to help them stick :)
Then once we’d put all our flowers on it, I folded it in half to seal it between the contact paper and hung it in the window by his table for him to enjoy his handiwork. I’m not sure how long it will last, but it’s been nice having a little piece of Spring inside!
